What is Micro-Needling?
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure that diminishes the appearance of:
- Fine lines
- Acne scars
- Stretch marks
- Enlarged pores
- Poor skin texture
- Lack of skin firmness
Micro-needling devices have many small, long needles attached to the head of a roller. Using the device, Dr. Denis Gonyon creates a controlled wound on the surface of the skin. Your body responds by generating collagen and elastin in the area. Collagen and elastin can be thought of as the structure that supports smooth, youthful skin.
Just about all of our guests require more than one micro-needling session to achieve the desired results. The number of sessions depends on the skin problems that you want to address, but typically between three to five may be needed. Your sessions will be scheduled several weeks apart to allow your skin time to respond to the treatment.
You will notice smoother, rejuvenated skin as the treatment area heals and produces new collagen. These results are long-lasting and can be maintained over the years with future sessions.
