Whether you feel it is too large, too small, a Rhinosplasty can bring symmetry and beauty to your face.
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a procedure in which your nose can be brought into proper proportions with the rest of your face – providing a contoured, natural, more pleasing appearance.
Dr. Gonyon and our nose surgery experts are standing by to start you on your journey.
Types of Rhinosplasty
Rhinoplasty can be used to address just one issue, such as a bulbous tip or bumpy bridge, or to reshape your entire nose. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Denis Gonyon is able to provide this service with one of two techniques:
- Closed rhinoplasty surgery – With a closed rhinoplasty, all of the incisions are made inside of the nose. This technique is best at addressing minor cosmetic imperfections.
- Open rhinoplasty surgery – An open rhinoplasty consists of small incisions made both inside your nose and along the columella, the skin that separates your nostrils. While an incision is made outside of your nose, the incision is small enough that there is minimal scarring involved.
Every patient has unique features that demand personal attention, and Dr. Gonyon has found that most patients benefit more from an open rhinoplasty procedure. This technique allows Dr. Gonyon to address several issues with your nose and better enables him to provide you with a look that is smooth, symmetrical, and balanced.
Realistic Expectations for Your Nose Surgery
Realistic expectations are also necessary before you decide to have a nose job. Dr. Gonyon uses advanced computer imaging software to help you get an idea of what benefits your nose job may provide, yet this technology is only a communication tool to help you express your cosmetic goals and understand the effect of nose surgery on your facial appearance. It will not be able to give you your actual results.
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Denis Gonyon works with all of his patients on an individual basis. When you come to our office for your initial consultation, he will listen to all of your goals, questions, examine your medical history, and assess the current look of your nose to help you determine if a nose job is right for you.
